Some best practices to grow healthy cactus or succulents.

Light

Place your cacti and succulents in a location that receives bright, indirect sunlight. These plants love sunlight, but excessive direct sun exposure can lead to sunburn. Observe their response to the light and adjust accordingly.

Watering

Cacti and succulents are adapted to arid environments, so they prefer well-draining soil and infrequent watering. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot. It's better to underwater than overwater, as too much moisture can be detrimental.

Soil

Use a well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for cacti and succulents. This type of soil allows excess water to escape quickly, preventing waterlogged conditions. You can also add perlite or coarse sand to improve drainage.

Water Spraying

Spraying water directly on cacti is not recommended due to the risk of rot, fungal diseases, and sunburn.

Pest Control

Monitor your plants regularly for common pests like mealybugs, scale insects, or spider mites. If you notice any infestations, treat them promptly with appropriate organic or chemical controls.

Avoid Overhandling

Cactus and succulents are generally low-maintenance plants, and excessive handling can cause damage. Be mindful of their spines, prickles, or delicate leaves when handling or moving them.
