A PAR spectrum light, unlike a white light, is made of selective diodes that aid in the process of photosynthesis. As such the plant grows fast and less amount of electricity (up to 25% less) is required as compared to using white horticulture lights.
Depending upon the model you choose, you will get a home kit between 3 to 15 NFT channels and an equal number of City Greens PAR spectrum 20 W grow lights of 1.2 M each, with 8 growing spaces in it. It is mounted on a stand made of U-PVC. The entire kit has to be self-assembled, this makes you understand the construction part or the engineering part.
The spout of the end-caps is designed such that, it allows some level of water to be present in the channel even when the motor is not ON. This provides you the chance to run the motor in intervals rather than continuously. The electronic timer in the kit runs the motor for not less than 1 hour a day (instead of 24 hours like for other NFT kits), cutting down the electricity costs drastically.
